Jeju Island, my home for a couple of years. I first arrived not knowing what to expect and I ended up coming across some incredibly stunning scenery.
It's been an incredible time here in New Mexico. Albuquerque is where I grew up and I'm so grateful for the time I spent here. I feel like my photography has changed a lot since the last time I stood under these hot air balloons a few years ago.
In these photos I'm mostly using my 200 mm zoom lens.
This is the first time I've taken wildlife pictures in Florida. A good friend of mine showed me this wonderful park right in Port Saint Lucie. He also opened my eyes to a completely different type of photography. I've learned that with a little more patience, I can get shots with great lighting.
All the photos were taken with the same lens: Nikkor 55-200mm 1.4-5.6G. I'm still learning a lot about this lens but I'm amazed at the depth and colors of some shots.
Most of the shots in this album are from Annapolis, Snow Hill, and Assateague National Park. My main goal for this shoot was to play a little more with my new zoom lens and aperture settings. I had a great time shooting outside of my regular landscape photography and I tried to focus more on the tiny details or patterns present in these historic towns.
South Africa was one of the most photogenic places I've ever visited. I just used a Canon Power Shot and the photos came out a lot better than I had anticipated. I tried to capture as much of the essence and beauty that this country had to offer.
Sani Pass, Lesotho
In 2011, I visited Serifos, Folegandros, Milos, Santorini, and Sifnos ; a group of Greek islands in the Aegean Sea called the Cyclades. The overwhelming beauty makes me feel like going back every summer.
